First time in and had a very lovely experience. Old school Italian with gracious portions. I had mamas lasagna and loved the extra sauce it came with. Our server Julie was very friendly and warm and knowledgeable about the menu. She answered our many questions and service was quick. Loved this little spot. Will be back again to try more. Thanknyoy Jjlienfor such a great first time experience.

What a lovely restaurant and an outstanding kitchen. It was our first time here - early Saturday evening and the dining room was almost full by 5:30pm. Karen took care of us and the timing and tempo of the service was perfect - we prefer to dine for 90 minutes or so, and Karen never rushed us but was always attentive. We had traditional pasta dishes and the sauce was particularly good. Ordering wine by the carafe is a really good deal.
We're originally from the East coast where small family-owned Italian restaurants like this are the norm. Mama Sanninos is not a pretentious place and the owners should be very proud of their food and the warm ambience they have created. We look forward to dining there again. -

More average-ish bland-ish red sauce heavy overpriced Italian food in Denver. Typical.
Nothing to come back here for. Tasted like any of the other bland-ish pseudo Italian restaurants in Denver. They are all falling by the wayside however. Dino's recently closed after 30 years. It tasted like this, only with normal prices.
Pros:
Got some free pieces of super processed, similar to Wonder Bread only thicker, white bread for free with our meal.
The salads were tasty and fresh.
The atmosphere inside makes you feel like you're in a little hole in the wall in Italy.
Cons:
Bland food. No spices used here!!
Service was just slightly below average.
They close at 8 PM on a Saturday. -

I don't even know where to start! This place is family owned, which I love! They have menus items named after family members! It's really just the best place for food! It's not close to where I am, but I don't care, you'll find me eating there!

I'm sick and tired with both big chain restaurants and restaurants that use big fancy words to describe their food, which in most cases translates to small overpriced dishes that are not too special.
My goal was to find a locally owned family style restaurant...this led us to Mama Sanninos!
The place was packed, good sign in my book, and after a small wait we were seated. I was thrilled to find out we were being waited on by none other than Mama Sannino herself!
We ordered the Crispy Ravioli for an appetizer and it was delicious! The raviolis were nicely stuffed with cheese...no flat pre-made raviolis here. The marinara sauce was great, it was perfectly seasoned.
My wife ordered the house salad with blue cheese dressing and the Half Ravioli and Half Pasta (homemade egg noodles) with 1 meatball and 1 sausage. Again, the raviolis were perfect and the homemade egg noodles were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Both the meatball and sausage were fantastic. She was also impressed with the blue cheese dressing and that it had real blue cheese chunks.
I ordered the minestrone soup and the Dave Mc's Favorite Baked Rigatoni, it also came with a meatball and sausage. What I also found great was the massive amount of ricotta cheese they put into the dish...it was AWESOME! The minestrone was also great, it was seasoned and cooked perfectly.
I also want to point out that the meatballs were made from meat...not the cheap meatballs that are 90% bread and 10% meat...these are the real deal!
My daughter ordered buttered homemade egg noodles and she was also impressed.
Oh yeah...you better be hungry, because the orders are huge!
I live quite a few miles from Mama Sannino's, but I guarantee you we will be back. The service was great, the food was great...the whole experience was great.
I grew up in NYC and ate at an numerous restaurants in Little Italy so I know good Italian from bad Italian food, and I can honestly say that if you're in the mood for Real Italian Food...look no further than Mama Sannino's!
